BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (January 2025) — Mann & Potter is proud to announce that Corbin Potter has been named an equity partner in the firm.
For Corbin, this step is both professional milestone and personal full circle. The son of founding partner Robert Potter, Corbin grew up around the firm — watching cases unfold, hearing the stories of clients whose lives had been turned upside down at no fault of their own, and learning early on what it means to fight for someone when it really counts.
“This place is more than just a law firm to me,” said Corbin. “It’s a place that shaped how I see the world — that taught me that showing up for people, really showing up, is the work.”
Since joining the firm, Corbin has represented clients across Alabama in complex cases involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and insurance bad faith, securing millions in recoveries along the way. He’s taken on utility companies, medical institutions, global manufacturers, and national insurers — and built a reputation for being both trial-ready and deeply client-centered.
“Corbin doesn’t cut corners, and he doesn’t posture,” said Ted Mann. “He listens. He prepares. And when the time comes, he knows how to try a case — and how to stand beside someone as they walk through, often, the most challenging time of their life.”
A graduate of Auburn University and Cumberland School of Law, Corbin was selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2022 and 2023. He lives in Birmingham with his wife Annie Kate, and the two are expecting their first child later this year.
With Corbin’s leadership now woven more deeply into the firm’s future, Mann & Potter remains committed to what it’s always stood for: people, preparation, and justice.
